PLACES TO PRAY

These are found in the New Testament

ON THE MOUNTAINSIDE - Matthew 14:23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone.

IN YOUR ROOM - Matthew 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

IN THE TEMPLE/CHURCH - Luke 18:10 "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector." Matthew 21:13 "It is written," he said to them, "'My house will be called a house of prayer,' but you are making it a 'den of robbers.' "

IN THE GARDEN - Matthew 26:36 Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, "Sit here while I go over there and pray." Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak."

ON THE ROOF - Acts 10:9 About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray.

BY THE RIVER - Acts 16:13 On the Sabbath we went outside the city gate to the river, where we expected to find a place of prayer.

ON THE BEACH - Acts 21:5 But when our time was up, we left and continued on our way. All the disciples and their wives and children accompanied us out of the city, and there on the beach we knelt to pray.

IN PRISON - Acts 26:29 Paul replied, "Short time or long--I pray God that not only you but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except for these chains."

AT PARTIES, ON FIELD TRIPS, IN SCHOOL - Ephesians 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

IN THE PRINCIPAL’S OFFICE - James 5:13 Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise.

IN THE HOSPITAL - James 5:14 Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.
